To be considered for funding
The Green Family Foundation will consider grants for IRS-qualified non-profit organizations located within the United States, with a specific focus in South Florida.. The Foundation will consider requests related to our four (4) funding priorities to support museums, cultural and performing arts programs; schools; hospitals; and educational, skills training and other programs for young adults. The Foundation does not make grants to individuals.
Timelines and Deadlines
The Green Family Foundation accepts proposals in two cycles as follows:
Cycle 1
For organizations with fiscal year ends on or around June 30, or for organizations with projects that are expected to take place in the second half of the calendar year
Proposal due date: March 31
If necessary, applicant meetings: April
Decision date: May
Funding awarded: July
Cycle 2
For organizations with fiscal year ends on or around December 31, or for organizations with projects that are expected to take place in the first half of the next calendar year
Proposal due date: September 30
If necessary, applicant meetings: October
Decision date: November

All proposals must be submitted via this website. We do not accept proposals through mail, email, or in-person.
We encourage applicants to pick the cycle that works best for their fiscal year end or most aligns with the project at hand. Once an organization has selected a cycle, you may not apply through the subsequent cycle unless you are requested to do so.
We ask that organizations do not contact the Foundation to request status updates unless they have not received an update within the cycle timeframes cited above.
To Be Considered For Funding, Your Organization Must:
Submit a proposal no later than the due dates listed above. If the date above falls on a weekend or a federal holiday, the deadline will be the next business day. Please be advised that the Green Family Foundation has limited funding resources for unsolicited proposals outside of our multi-year investments with established charitable partners. We would encourage all applicants to review our four (4) funding priorities. We invite qualified nonprofit organizations that are aligned with the principles of our grantmaking priorities to submit their proposal, which must be submitted through the link below.
Grant Reporting
We are committed to fostering transparency, accountability, and shared learning through our grantmaking process. As part of your grant agreement, your organization will be required to submit reporting information to help us track the progress and impact of your work. Details regarding the grant reporting will be outlined in your grant agreement.
